Today, for increasingly more surgical interventions subsequent hospitalization is no longer a necessity. Modern surgical methods allow that patients can return home often even on the same day. The Sophien-Klinik Hannover has long since identified this need for more out-patient surgery and for 11 years, has developed towards providing the respective opportunities. Annually, we have some 3,000 surgical interventions at the Sophien-Klinik, and our hospital fulfils all requirements regarding quality, safety and level of care. Our operating-theatre equipment is up-to-date, and our highly qualified medical staff ensures best possible results. Since 2003, the Sophien-Klinik is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2000.

In the out-patient surgical department at the Sophien-Klinik, we perform surgical interventions in the fields of oral and maxilo-facial surgery, gynaecology, general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, as well as otorhinolaryngology and ophthalmology. Many of our patients are children, for which we have provided a multitude of playing, painting and even audio-visual options to help them kill the time during their hospitalization after an operation.
